Savannah Soto who was scheduled for induced labor over the weekend failed to appear at the hospital. This left her family deeply concerned. Neighbors added a chilling detail by notifying the family that they had heard the teen scream before she got into a car with her boyfriend Matthew Guerra on that fateful Friday afternoon.

As the hours turned into days, the worry intensified. A community-led search was joined by local police. The apprehension reached its peak when neighbors reported hearing a scream, amplifying the urgency to locate Savannah and Matthew.

22 year old Matthew Guerra and 18 year old Savannah Soto were discovered on Tuesday afternoon when a vehicle was found in the parking lot of an apartment complex in northwest San Antonio. The vehicle had reportedly been in the parking lot for three to four days.

Savanah Nicole Soto, 18, and Matthew Guerra, 22, were reported missing by police in Leon Valley, a few miles northwest of San Antonio suburb and were found dead in a silver 2013 Kia Optima with both allegedly murdered. Their cause of death hasn’t been officially revealed though.

The news of the discovery came after someone alerted the family that the car had been found, prompting them to notify the police. The previous day, the Leon Valley Police had issued a CLEAR Alert for Savannah, highlighting the urgency of the situation.

San Antonio Police Chief William McManus confirmed the tragic development, stating, “There are two people in the car. They are deceased. We believe it is the missing woman and her boyfriend.”

The cause and manner of death were undisclosed at the time of the announcement. However, Chief McManus conveyed that investigators were treating the case as a potential murder, acknowledging the perplexing nature of the crime scene. He mentioned that the investigators believed the car had been in the parking lot for three to four days, adding a layer of mystery to the unfolding tragedy.

The heartbreaking saga took a public dimension as Savannah’s concerned family took to social media to seek help in locating the pregnant teenager. In a poignant Facebook post on December 25, Savannah’s mother, Gloria Cordova, pleaded for assistance, providing crucial details such as the license plate number, TRC9447, of the car they were searching for. The post reflected the anguish and desperation of a family grappling with the unknown.

Adding complexity to the narrative, it was revealed that Savannah Soto’s boyfriend had allegedly been on probation for assaulting her the previous year. In a Facebook post, Gloria Cordova expressed her concerns about her daughter’s boyfriend, stating that she believed he was “no good” and feared for her daughter’s wellbeing shortly after Savannah went missing.
