Manor Solomon career

The 23-year-old left winger started out his footballing career at Israeli second-tier side Maccabi Petah Tikva. He made his senior debut in 2016 as a 16-year-old player. Solomon then went on to join Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk in 2019 on a €6 million deal.

While playing at Shakhtar, Manor made over 100 appearances across all competitions. He scored four goals across 16 Champions League appearances for Shakhtar. These goals included a famous third goal against Real Madrid that helped his side win a 3-2 victory in 2020.

Following his success at Shakhtar, Manor Solomon joined Fulham in the summer of 2022 on loan. He arrived at Fulham with high hopes, but suffered a serious major setback after getting his knee injured during his second on-field action for the club. He went down during a closed-doors friendly back in August 2022. It was just one day after he had made his Premier League debut against Liverpool during a seven-minute bench cameo.

Solomon finally got the chance to make a return this early this year. He played his first match following his recovery on January 7 against Hull City in the FA Cup. He played just 10 minutes off the bench, but made an immediate impact at the club as he went on to scored five goals across five matches in February 2023.

Besides his club career, Solomon is a regular for the Israel international team. He has so far scored six goals across 31 appearances for his national side. In fact, all six of those goals have come during his last 18 caps further adding to his surging form.

Manor Solomon transfer to Fulham permanently

Manor Solomon is currently on loan from Shakhtar Donetsk, but reports indicate that the Whites could look to sign Solomon on a permanent deal before the end of his loan spell.

However, the club could face complications following by his exceptional form in the Premier League. According to a report by The Athletic, following Solomon’s nomination for the Premier League Player of the Month award back in February 2023, other Premier League sides could be after his signature.

Fulham manager Marco Silva recently shared about it stating:

We have to be ready, not to lose him, but we have to be ready for the competition in the market if it appears. I tried my best to sign him permanently in [the summer]. And now, it is what it is.”

Shakhtar executives confirmed back in August that Fulham were close to signing Solomon permanently for €7.5 million last summer. However, FIFA decided to extend the window for foreign players at Ukrainian clubs to pause their contracts and play elsewhere. As such, the permanent move never transpired following the change.

Manor Solomon Fulham goals stats

The Israeli forward currently has five goals for the West London club, in just 466 minutes of play. This means that Solomon has scored a goal just under every 100 minutes. Moreover, all those five goals all came in five straight appearances, with three of them coming off the bench.

Besides the fact that his goals came consecutively, he’s also scoring important goals as well. Solomon’s most prominent goals were a key late winner against Brighton coming off the bench, and a 64th-minute equalizer against Wolves.

The Israeli international certainly has a bright future ahead who has shown great skills in cutting inside from the left to produce curling efforts with his right foot. Interestingly, Solomon’s goals against Brighton and Wolves were so similar that Fulham crafted a side-by-side video of the two goals.

Given below are his current stats as of Saturday, March 11, 2023:

Competition Appearances Goals Assists Minutes
2022/23 Premier League 8 4 0 201
