On Wednesday evening, tragedy struck as an 18-year-old college student, Madhav, succumbed to a heart attack during a coaching class in the Bhanwarkuan area of Indore, Madhya Pradesh with his video now viral
Madhav was diligently preparing for the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) entrance exam at one of the coaching centers in the city when he was suddenly gripped by chest pain, leading to his untimely demise.

The exact cause of death has not yet been established, but there is widespread speculation Madhav suffered a cardiac arrest, or heart attack.
The entire distressing incident was captured on the classroom’s CCTV footage. In the video, 18 year old Madhav, dressed in a black shirt, is seen among numerous MPPSC aspirants in a packed room.
Initially appearing fine and focused on his books, Madhav begins to show signs of discomfort ten seconds into the video. Concerned, the student seated next to him attempts to comfort him, and realizing the severity, urgently tries to alert the instructor.
Tragically, within seconds, Madhav collapses, slipping off his desk and falling to the floor. Alarmed classmates rush to his aid, and despite being admitted to a nearby private hospital, Madhav succumbs to the medical emergency hours later.
Madhav’s untimely death has drawn attention to the alarming rise of ‘silent heart attacks’ in Indore, with reports indicating at least four similar incidents in the city over the past few weeks.
This incident recalls previous cases, including a 55-year-old businessman who died while exercising and a 16-year-old girl who passed away from a suspected cardiac incident while at school last year.
In a separate incident earlier this month, the spotlight on heart attacks intensified when Dr. Ani S Das, a 59-year-old agriculture expert and Director of Planning at the Kerala Agricultural University, collapsed and died during a live TV program on Doordarshan in Kerala.
Dr. Das, who occasionally appeared as an expert on the government-run channel, suffered a Cardiopulmonary arrest (heart attack) during the live broadcast of the Krishi Darshan show on January 13.
Despite being rushed to Thiruvananthapuram Government Medical College Hospital, he was declared brought dead by the doctors. These incidents underscore the unpredictability and severity of heart-related emergencies, even in seemingly routine settings.
