Liam Lawson is a New Zealand motor racing driver who was born on 11 February 2002, in Hastings, New Zealand. Lawson currently competes in the Super Formula Championship with Team Mugen. Aside from that, Lawson is also a reserve driver for Scuderia AlphaTauri in the Formula One Championship.


Liam Lawson is dating American student Hannah St John and his girlfriend is currently studying her bachelor’s degree in Biological and Biomedical Sciences at Arizona State University.

Before his current role as a reserve driver at AlphaTauri, Liam Lawson was a part of the Red Bull Junior racing team. The 21-year-old won the Toyota Racing Series title with this team. He has also driven for the Red Bull AF Corse at Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters.


Aside from that, Lawson has previously contested in the Formula 3 championships for MP Motorsports alongside Yuki Tsunoda. He then joined the Indy series and competed in the DTM series where he won multiple races and podium finishes, even coming close to winning the championship title. After his stint at DTM, Lawson joined Formula 2 before leaving it by the end of 2022.From there he started competing in the Super Formula for Team Mugen.
