However, Dinesh Mishra, the attorney who represented Atul Subhash in the Jaunpur family court amidst his divorce proceedings with wife, Accenture Delhi employee Nikita Singhania, said that neither the judge nor the court was at blame because Atul had given a truthful account of his encounter with the legal system. Mishra asserts that Atul’s suicide was not caused by the court judgment.
The lawyer said, “Atul probably thought this Rs 40,000 was too much. If he felt this amount was excessive, he should have gone to the High Court to challenge it.”
A significant claim has been made by Atul Subhash’s lawyer Dinesh Mishra, who killed himself at his home in Bengaluru, the Karnataka capital.
Although his client Atul’s suicide letter revealed the truth about the legal system and also claimed that Jaunpur principal judge Rita Kaushik who was hearing his divorce case had demanded Rs.5 lakhs to settle the case, his attorney has maintained that neither the court nor the judge bear any responsibility. According to Dinesh Mishra, Atul used to make Rs 84,000 in Bengaluru.

His wife makes a good living also as an AI consultant in Accenture Delhi. The four year old child’s monthly maintenance of Rs 40,000 was mandated by the court. The wife was not the recipient of this order and Dinesh Mishra feels Atul ought to have gone to the High Court if he had felt it was excessive. If he did something like commit suicide, the court is not at fault and neither is the judge according to Dinesh.
According to Mishra, the court was not liable for any settlement reached out of court or for any harassment he experienced.
Dinesh Mishra, the lawyer handling AI engineer Atul Subhash’s case filed by his wife Nikita Singhania, has also revealed that he was deeply affected by not being able to meet his four-year-old child and was also affected by how he was being treated by Nikita and her parents, the lawyer added.
“We have handled multiple cases for Atul Subhash Modi, including maintenance case, domestic violence and a divorce case filed by his wife under Section 498A…He was a gentle, practical and cooperative individual who regularly attended court dates with great discipline and had faith in the Judiciary,” Mishra said.

In such a case, a separate body should be formed.”
