He had a wife named Sofia who is also a jet ski world champion. They both were married in the year 2016. His wife is of British descent and is a native of Wiltshire, UK. They both had 2 years old daughter named Willow and one unborn baby that’s due in weeks.

Eric gained the nickname “The Eagle” after his four consecutive victories in the P1 AquaX, the biggest watercraft competition in the world. He has taken part in a number of races in Guadeloupe during the course of his career.
Death Cause Of Eric Francis
A significant search effort was launched with a helicopter and a diver after Eric Francis was reported missing at sea on Saturday at 4 p.m.
His corpse was discovered adjacent to his unharmed watercraft, which was located close to the island of Marie-Galante. His remains were returned to Saint-Louis, the location of the second running of the Marie-Galante race.
In accordance with the norm of similar sports events in the Caribbean, and notably in Guadeloupe, an inquiry was launched, headed by the gendarmerie of Marie-Galante with assistance from the maritime brigade.

P1 AquaX launched a GoFundMe to help Eric’s family out financially since Sophie is due with their second kid in a few weeks.
For the grieving family, the campaign has already raised more than $15,000.
