Yadav performed surgeries at Mission Hospital in Damoh under the false identity of professor Dr N John Camm of London. When the panel began investigating the matter, Yadav fled the area and the committee’s investigation has confirmed seven fatalities thus far.

According to reports, Narendra Yadav operated at Mission Hospital in Damoh while posing as “Dr N John Camm” and although the exact number of victims has not yet been made public, Dr. Mukesh Jain, the district chief medical and health officer, verified that a report on the incident has been sent to District Collector Sudhir Kochar.

According to Deepak Tiwari, a local attorney and the president of the district’s Child Welfare Committee, Narendra Yadav carried out a number of heart procedures that led to seven fatalities, as reported by The Hindu. But he had a sneaking suspicion that the real figure might be greater.

In February, a patient complained to the committee about a doctor at Mission Hospital, expressing worries about the doctor’s ability to do diagnostic correctly, according to Tiwari.

According to Tiwari, Yadav left the location when the panel started looking into the situation. So far, seven deaths have been confirmed by the committee’s investigation.

“A complaint was received that a fake doctor performed cardiac surgeries and caused the deaths of several people. It was also reported that the missionary hospital used to receive money from the government under the Ayushman Bharat scheme,” Priyank Kanoongo told media.

A local citizen filed a complaint with the NHRC alleging that “Dr N John Camm” had been providing medical care to patients at the Mission Hospital in Damoh.

According to the complainant, Narendra Vikramaditya Yadav is the individual’s true name. He had been pretending to have received his training in London and the real Professor John Camm is an emeritus professor of clinical cardiology at St George’s University of London. He confirmed to fact-checking website BOOM that his identity was being misused by Yadav, who also operated a website under the name njohncamm.com and ran a Twitter account under the handle @njohncamm.

Yadav, using this fake persona, gained traction in July 2023 after tweeting that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath could control the riots in France and the tweet was widely shared by Indian news channels.

In order to deceive the patients, Narendra Vikramaditya Yadav used the name of renowned British cardiologist Professor John Camm.
