The television series known as “The Footballer, His Wife and the Crash” had its premiere on ITV in 2022 and tells the story of Samuel’s double life.
Emma Pritchard, the first wife of the former player made an appearance on the show where she claimed that her husband had “another life” in the Middle East with a second wife. He even converted to Islam for her and they got married in 2013.
Meanwhile, she stated that while she was “trying to grieve” her husband, she found out that the player “has another life.” This made her doubt if she even knew her husband well.
The two wives even got to know one another while Pritchard was in Dubai, however, Jlloyd has claimed the second wife, Helia Sahimi was a fortune teller. It was later revealed that she was his second wife and was a singer in Iran.
She got to know about this from a friend who said that there was something really important which she needed to know, four weeks after he passed away. “Jlloyd’s got another wife, another woman, and she’s just plastered herself all over his Instagram as his wife.”
Emma was stunned when she saw the Instagram, “It was like a stab in the heart.” She further told that he never even asked her for divorce and told her he loves her the night before his death. This thing was shocking for her as there were no issues between the two.

Emma Samuel is the widow of former Premier League player Jlloyd Samuel. She is a former interior designer and owns Samuel & Owen, a luxury brand of nursery furniture which she launched in 2014. She is now a part-time beautician in Cheshire.
Since the death of Jlloyd, Emma has become an advocate for public discussions of grief, largely through her social media and created the Instagram account @wagtowidow to discuss the grief she continues to experience since Jlloyd’s death.
