Despite the excitement involved for the episode, The Resident still took a time to pause and pay tributes to Chris Harrell.

In the final moments of The Resident’s Season 6 premiere, the episode paused to pay a tribute to a much-loved crew member who recently passed away.
Just before the episode’s credits began to roll, a title card appeared on-screen, carrying a message of remembrance for Harrell.
The title card that appeared on-screen reads, “In Loving Memory of Chris Harrell.”
The connection of Harrell’s to The Resident reportedly came through his work for the Atlanta-based company Teamsters’ Local 728, which provides assistance with the production of films and TV shows filmed in the state.
The Creator’s of The Resident Pays Tribute
Following the broadcast of episode 1 of The Resident, the co-creator and writer, Amy Holden Jones took to social media to pay a tribute of her own.
Responding to a query on Twitter, the 67-year-old Screenwriter said Harrell was, “A long term crew member who was treasured” by the cast and crew of The Resident.
According to a GoFoundMe page which was set up for Chris, Jones confirmed that Harrell “passed this year.” As per the page, he passed away unexpectedly earlier this year during a medical procedure.
Harrell is survived by his wife and children.
Speaking of the show, following the excruciating events of Season 6 premiere, which saw Padma and her twins survive after some quick work from Dr Ian Sullivan.
Episode 2 is set to see some violence erupt in the wake of the coming high-stakes gubernatorial election results. This will cause a host of victims to arrive at Chastain, with Conrad faced with treating an especially aggressive patient.
While episode 3 sees all hands on deck at the hospital after a gunshot victim arrives at the emergency room with catastrophic injuries.
Season 6 of The Resident is on-air and release episodes weekly at around 8 pm ET/PT on Fox after premiering on September 20, 2022.
