In a surprising twist of events, Katipally Venkata Ramana Reddy from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured a victory in the crucial Kamareddy assembly in Telangana, defeating both the incumbent and potential future chief ministers. Popularly known as KVR, Reddy outperformed BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao by 6,741 votes and state Congress chief Revanth Reddy by 11,736 votes.
