Cooper’s triumph just came a few days after a 17-year-old Addie Carver of Mississippi was crowned the Miss USA 2024 on Thursday at the same venue.

About Alma Cooper
For the unfamiliar, the champion of Miss USA 73rd edition, Cooper is a 22-year-old woman who hails from Michigan but her height isn’t known. She is a 2nd lieutenant and a officer in the military intelligence in the US Army.
She is of Afro-Latina ethnicity, the daughter of a black father, Stacey Cooper, and a Latina mother, Oralia Cooper and her father is a retired army officer, while her mother competed in pageants.
As per her bio on the Miss USA website, Cooper graduated in the top 5 percent of her class at West Point Military Academy, where she led over 4,400 cadets in emergency and crisis scenarios.
Later, she joined Stanford University to pursue a master’s degree in data science. She’s currently a Knight-Hennessy Scholar. She is a global advocate for food insecurity issues and aims to “make healthy foods available to all people.”

As per media reports, Cooper’s life’s motto is “Demand Excellence,” a principle she inherited from her immigrant parents.
During her final interview round at the Miss USA 2024 pageant, Alma revealed that she was “living the American dream” as the “daughter of a migrant worker,” and a proud woman and an officer of the US Army.
Previously, Alma Cooper, won the Miss Michigan 2024 crown, and now she is set to represent her country at the Miss Universe 2024 stage to be held in Mexico in November.
