Tahsin Mohammed Jamshid made history on March 31st as the first-ever Indian player to compete for Al Duhail in the Qatar Stars League.
Al-Duhail Sports Club, formerly known as Lekhwiya SC, is a football team which competes in the Qatar Stars League. Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium serves as the club’s home field. The club is headquartered in the Duhail area of Doha. It is the first football team in Qatari history to win the first division championship in its inaugural campaign.

Who is Tahsin Mohammed Jamshid?
Tahsin Mohammed Jamshid is a profesional Indian-origin football player who plays for Al Duhail in Qatar. The left winger was born on June 16, 2007 and is currently 17 years old.
Tahsin is also an Indian citizen, which entitles him to represent this country internationally. His only passport is a temporary one from Qatar, most likely a “mission passport,” which is required to compete in sports.
The renowned Aspire Football Academy in Qatar produced him, and over the past ten years, it has produced several talented players for the national team. Al-Duhail brought him on board after he demonstrated exceptional talent at the Aspire Academy and for the Qatar U-17 team.
He started the 2023 Qatar Exposure Tour match for India’s youth team as a substitute for the Qatar U-17 squad.
