While talking about her son’s path towards his NFL aspiration, Sondra Thomas literally answered ESPN’s Laura Rutledge when she questioned, “How far has this family come?” The NFL player’s mother replied, “We came from Baton Rouge, Louisiana.”

Rutledge then asked the Thomas family a follow-up to her initial one, “When you think about the journey that you’ve been on together, what does tonight mean to you?” Her mom thanked to god and told how it meant the world to her responding, “It’s amazing. I’m so grateful to God. I’m so happy for him and we are so proud of him.”
Thomas, who is thought to be among the best wide receivers in this year’s draft class, was selected fourth overall on Thursday at No. 23 in the first round. While his parents are very proud to see their son finally making his dream come true, let us have a look at who they are.
