Following Hunter Moore’s sale of the website domain to James McGibney, an online entrepreneur, IsAnyoneUp.com was shut down in April 2012. McGibney paid a little cost for it and utilised the domain to drive users to BullyVille, an anti-bullying website. To raise awareness of the problem that IsAnyoneUp assisted in facilitating, McGibney’s website encouraged users to share their experiences of bullying.
But anyone who visits the site right now will only be taken to McGibney’s personal webpage. According to Cosmopolitan, the FBI detained Hunter Moore in 2014 on suspicion of conspiring, gaining unauthorised access to a secured computer, and aggravated identity theft. He entered a guilty plea to counts of aggravated identity theft and encouraging unauthorised access to a computer.
Moore was then given a two-year and six-month prison term, along with a $2,000 fine and a $145.70 restitution cost along with the restriction that he won’t be able to use social media anymore.

A statement from McGibney will be displayed when a visitor first arrives at the IsAnyoneUp website. He states that although he took control of and shut down the disgusting revenge porn website, his mission is not yet complete. He urges visitors to invest in a website that supports people who have been the targets of bullying, stalking, and harassment. In the website, instead of requesting a donation, McGibney encourages users to become an investor in AnyOneUp, Inc. and join the team.
