A spectator of the Australian Open 2023 was criticised for her dirty actions after social media users noticed her unusual eating habits with her hot dog video viral
A little video clip from a weekend tennis match that was posted online shows a woman eating her hot dog in an odd way while perched high in the stands.
Video of Australian Open 2023 fan eating hot dog in an unusual manner in the stands goes viral
The video has caught the attention of everyone.
The person was first accused of not having any sauce at all on the mid-game snack. Second, instead of biting into the hot dog and bun simultaneously, she took out a bite-sized chunk of the hot dog with her hands. Discussions on which offence was worse than the other were brought up by online users.
TV sports journalist Josh Garlepp posted the honest video to Twitter, where it has since received over 110,000 views as of the time this article was published.

The spectator’s eating style was called out by the internet users.
The tennis fan in question received a social media thrashing, with many people struggling to process what they had just seen. One user tweeted, “The horror! The horror!” Another person remarked, “The main crime here is that there is no sauce or mustard!” “Oh, my goodness, just looking at it makes me thirsty. Please, for the love of God, add some sauce or mustard to it.”
A comment read, “It is a very wavy approach.”

Good lord, that is making me thirsty looking at it. Put some sauce or mustard on it, for the love of God.

However, several defended the woman’s behaviour.
This act precedes normal eating behaviour and ensures precise snag/bun ratio, especially on the first and arguably most important bite. Any other conclusion is an oversight.

The lady eating the hot dog is possibly wearing lipstick and a nice outfit. Both of these are enemies of a hot dog with tommy sauce. I'd do the same if I wanted to stay neat and tidy. Bit given I never have been, not planning to start now! Lol!😂

At $9.50 a mouthful, I'd be taking my time to get my money's worth as well!!!

This is not the first time a fan’s eating behaviour at a Grand Slam has garnered attention online. Fans were perplexed by Alexa Greenfield’s unusual techniques at the US Open four years ago. She made headlines when she was photographed in Flushing Meadows with her nephews dipping chicken nuggets into a cup of soda.
The spectacular performance occurred when Madison Keys defeated Dominika Cibulkova at Arthur Ashe Stadium with a commanding 6-1 6-3 triumph. Social media users ripped down the woman in their posts with no holds barred. Later, Greenfield stood by her statement that the pairing is pretty pleasant while also admitting that she was inebriated.
