David Willey opened the innings with his first over spell and things started to roll up during the opening over only. Pant faced the first ball from Willey, by hitting towards the short mid-wicket for a quick single. Willey was in his follow-through and came in between Rishab Pant’s way which implored Pant to ask Rohit, ‘‘ Saamne aa gya tha. Takkar maar du kya?( He came in his way, Should I hit the player?).’’

The Indian Skipper Rohit Sharma responded with an epic reply. ‘‘Haan, aur Kya!( Yes, of course)‘‘. However, the reply from the skipper was just in a fun way.

Ind vs Eng, 2 T20I: India’s brilliant display of bowling in the 2nd T20I helped them to clinch the series and will be looking forward to winning the series 3-0 by clean sweep.

Batting first India kept on losing the wickets at regular intervals. Ravindra Jadeja’s brilliant unbeaten 46 of 29 balls knock helped the Indian team to put a competitive 170 runs score on the target.

In reply, England kept on losing wickets at regular intervals and only managed to score 121 runs which led India to an impressive 49 runs victory. For England Moeen Ali scored 35 of 21 balls and was the highest run-scorer. Indian bowlers continued to show their dominance in the 2nd T20 as well. Bhuvneshwar Kumar 3/15 took three wickets while both Jasprit Bumrah 2/10 and Yuzvendra Chahal 2/10 managed to pick two wickets each.

On the other side, England continued to struggle in the series and will be hoping to win the final match of the series at Trent Bridge. It was the second time in the series when hosts are bowled out below 150 runs. Expectations will be high from England’s fans in the third and final match of the T20I series.
