Following Arizona’s 29-23 overtime victory against the Raiders, Las Vegas police announced Monday that they are looking into claims that a spectator hit Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray. Following Byron Murphy Jr.’s game-winning fumble return on Sunday, Murray was giving high fives to spectators in the front rows of Allegiant Stadium when a man suddenly appeared to reach out and strike Murray in the face.
Without a helmet, Kyler Murray was spotted racing onto the field to celebrate with the crowd and is shown in a video applauding with fans before reacting to what seems to be a slap in the face. The video appeared to depict Murray as being more surprised than hurt. Then, in the largely joyful crowd, Murray made an effort to spot the assailant but was unsuccessful.
Cardinals scored two touchdowns & added two 2-point conversions in the fourth quarter thanks to Murray’s excellent performance, forcing overtime. Since Murray accepted a $230.5 million, five-year contract extension, this was Arizona’s first triumph. The Heisman Trophy winner at Oklahoma in 2018 made him the first overall choice in the 2019 draught. With the exception of the slap, Kyler Murray had a tremendous night as the Arizona Cardinals overcame a 20-0 halftime deficit to secure their first victory of the season.

A battery complaint was filed following the game, according to a representative for the Las Vegas police. Murray wasn’t identified as the complainant, but it was claimed that a stadium patron hit a professional football player. According to reports, there is still an open inquiry and no suspect has been named.
