As aforesaid, recently, Virender Sehwag took to X/Twitter, and penned a lengthy post revealing the issue faced by one of his staff members. However, instantly realizing the aftereffects of his tweet, Viru deleted the post, leaving his fans in frenzy.
In his now-deleted post, the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame player, who has been vocally supporting PM Modi-led BJP government, was seen criticizing the political party.

What Did Virender Sehwag Say?
Taking the issue to X, Sehwag shared a post referencing PM Modiโs earlier tweets that praised the strength of public sector undertaking banks.
Additionally, his post questions the promises made by the PM Modi-led government, which, as per him, had not materialized. However, shortly after posting the tweet, the former player deleted it.
For the context, ahead of the 2024 elections, PM Modi and other members of the BJP had actively encouraged citizens to invest in PSU banks, leading to significant inundation from many, who were hoping for good returns.
Virender Sehwagโs post revealed that one of his staff members, despite investing in 3-4 PSU banks including Canara Bank, Bank of Baroda, and Union Bank, had seen no positive return on his investment.

Reportedly, the staff member of Sehwag had invested nearly 80% of his total capital, amounting to Rs. 80 lakhs from the Rs. 1 crore he received after selling his ancestral property.
After selling the property, the unidentified staff member had bought shares in the aforesaid banks at Rs. 120, Rs. 286, and Rs. 143, respectively, shortly after PM Modiโs viral tweet.
As per various media reports, despite the markets reaching all-time highs, the values of these stocks kept on dropping by 20%, leaving the staff member in financial distress.
