Ayrton Senna da Silva, mainly known as Ayrton Senn was a Brazilian racing driver who was born on March 21, 1960 in Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo, Brazil. He was a devout Catholic.
A look at Ayrton Senna’s career
Ayrton Senna began his racing career in karting, moved on to open-wheel competition in 1981, and won the British Formula Three Championship in 1983. He made his Formula One debut with Toleman-Hart in 1984, then moved to Lotus-Renault for the 1985 season, winning six Grands Prix in the following three years.
He joined McLaren-Honda in 1988 with fellow Frenchman Alain Prost. They won all but one of the 16 Grands Prix that year, with Senna capturing his first World Championship in 1988 and went on two win two more back to back in 1990 and 1991.

Ayrton Senna was married just once. In February 1981, Senna was married to Liliane Vasconcelos, then a 19-year-old who was a childhood friend of Ayrton’s with the marriage lasting for two years.
After his marriage to Vasconcelos ended, Senna courted Adriane Yamin, daughter of an entrepreneur from São Paulo and they were briefly engaged, but the relationship was broken off in late 1988.

Ayrton Senna died on May 1, 1994 in Bologna, Emilia-Romagna, Italy. Brazilian Formula One driver after his car crashed with a concrete barrier while leading the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix at Italy’s Imola track.
He was killed in a high-speed crash 30 years ago during the San Marino Grand Prix.
Ayrton died because the right front wheel of his car came off with it’s suspension attached and at great speed after his Williams FW16 crashed into a concrete barrier in 1994.
