On social media, a woman from Bijnor named Mehar Jahan is seen performing inhumane acts on her husband in a video that went viral

The husband of Mehar Jahan, Manan Zaidi alleged she drugged him, and tied his hands and legs before burning his body parts with a cigarette.

Surveillance footage from the bedroom’s concealed cameras showcased a wife tying up her husband, undressing him, and burning his private parts with a cigarette along with attempting to cut it off. She is seen passing out at some point of the assault most likely due to being drunk after which her husband escaped.

On May 5, Seohara district police detained a woman named Mehar Jahan.

On the evening of April 29, Manan Zaidi’s wife Mehar Jahan physically abused him with the purpose to murder him. She allegedly tried to choke him to death and tied his hands and legs after he lost consciousness. Following that, he set up security cameras throughout the house to record his abuse and provide documentation of it.

The father of Manan Zaidi who is Mehar’s husband filed a complaint and as a result, the police are carrying out the investigation. The victim is hospitalised at the present.

According to information by SP Dharam Singh, on May 4th, Mannan Zaidi, the victim, filed a complaint with the Seohara police station. He revealed that his wife was acting cruelly, abusing him physically and mentally, and they had daily arguments. Mannan Zaidi lives in the Chak Mahmood Sani village.

Manan Zaidi lodged a police report earlier as well, alleging that his wife had abused him, tied his wrists and feet, and gave him intoxicants.

Mehar Jahan’s arrest

Mehar Jahan has been placed under arrest by the police after they filed a case against her under several sections. Jahan faces charges under IPC Sections 307 (attempt to murder), 506 (criminal intimidation), 323 (voluntarily causing pain), and 328 (causing hurt using poison or other stupefying, intoxicating, or unwholesome medication).

Superintendent of Police Dharampal Singh said, “Based on the complaint, the police have registered a report against the accused woman under relevant sections and arrested her. Further action is being taken.”

Additionally, according to the police report, the wife attempted to use a knife to cut off her husband’s genitals.
