UFC 264 Poirier vs McGregor 3 will take place this Saturday on 10th July in front of a packed audience at the T-Mobile Arena situated in Las Vegas, Nevada in the United States. The main event winner will hopefully move on to fight the current lightweight titleholder Charles Oliveira. UFC 264 Main Card Predictions
Conor McGregor (22-5) vs Dustin Poirier (27-6)
As cocky as McGregor has been sounding ahead of his third and final bout with The Diamond, the former may yet not be aware of the 2021 version of Dustin Poirier. While The Notorious One has had a record of 1-2 since 2016, Poirier has had one of 7-1 in the same timespan. And in MMA, improvement is made more with experience, than through practice. McGregor could be the better striker, but Poirier has an edge over him with his durability, power and trademark bursts of aggression. The Notorious One just might not see what Poirier’s got coming.
Prediction: Dustin Poirier
Gilbert Burns (19-4) vs Stephen Thompson (16-4-1)
Though Burn is outstanding on the ground, according to official stats, he only has a 35 percent takedown success rate. Durinho hits like a truck but he’ll need to catch Wonderboy first who is quite hard to pin down. Thompson excels in precision and if he keeps Burns at range, can easily piece him up with punches and kicks. The Brazilian would have to improvise his fight style when needed, but in the end the jiu-jutsu guy should be able to prevail.

Tai Tuivasa (11-3) vs. Greg Hardy (7-3)
This fight between The Prince of War and Bam Bam is likely to be just as serious as the sound of their nicknames. You may wanna look elsewhere for technical nuance or striking subtleties because this match is likely to be dominated by some sloppy lumbering. With his five-inch reach advantage and quicker feet, The Prince of War Greg Hardy is my pick for this match. And yes, I absolutely abhor the shooeys.
Prediction: Greg Hardy
Irene Aldana (12-6) vs. Yana Kunitskaya (14-5)
This is one of the closest matches on the main card in which both the contenders have comparable skillsets. After her fight with Cris Cyborg, Yana has paved her way to rise to number 5 on the official divisional rankings, with a 4-1 run down at bantamweight. On other hand, Aldana is number 4 making this one a close call. While Aldana is definitely worth all the hype, I feel that the fired-up Foxy is the better pick for this bout.
Prediction: Yana Kunitskaya
Sean O’Malley (13-1) vs. Kris Moutinho (9-4)
With all due respect to Kris Moutinho, Sugar deserves better. One can get an idea from merely glancing at the records of these two fighters that this is a showcase fight. UFC had to search for a last-minute opponent for Sean O’ Malley when Louis Smolka withdrew due to staph infection, and this was the best they could do. Though it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the regional star, who will be making his promotional debut in a McGregor fight card, it’s not hard to predict a winner.
