Following the commercial success of The Kashmir Files, director Vivek Agnihotri has released the trailer for The Kashmir Files Unreported, a web series, know its release date and cast
It is regarded to be โmuch more heart-wrenching, eye-opening, and spine-chillingโ because it explains what led to the killings and evacuation of Kashmiri Pandits.
According to the 2-minute trailer, the web series will feature interviews with historians, specialists, real-life victims, and their families.

In the clip, many people are seen becoming emotional while telling their stories. It claims to depict the condition of things that led to the repeal of Article 370 and the consequences for Kashmir today.
During a conversation about The Kashmir Files Unreported which is all set to be out online on the streaming platform Zee5, the producer of the show, Vivek Agnihotri revealed that, โThe genocide of Kashmir is a blot not only on India but on humanity. It is considered to be the biggest hidden tragedy of modern times.โ
He further added, โIt was very important for us to tell this story honestly. So far, all the movies, literature and in media, what has been reported is contemporary. After 32 years when we made The Kashmir Files based on 4 years of extensive research, it opened peopleโs eyes.
“But there were polarizing views on the film โ some felt that the movie portrayed only 10% of the reality and some felt that The Kashmir Files was a propaganda film.โ
He continued โTherefore, it was important for us to open all the research and interviews we did in its purest and rawest form for people to understand that the truth is difficult to handle.
“I can guarantee that The Kashmir Files Unreported will shatter your heart but the intention is so that we learn from history, and we develop a temperament of zero tolerance for terrorism and we stand up for humanity and our own people.โ
As per a official tweet by Vivek, the series is a โtype of national archiveโ that will serve as a โdocument for future.โ
The 7-part series, produced by Vivek Agnihotri and Pallavi Joshiโs IamBuddha Entertainment and Media LLP, will air on OTT platform ZEE5. The release date and cast isn’t known as of yet.
