Reigning champion Carolina Marin of Spain withdrew from the Women’s singles tournament of BWF Swiss Open 2022. Meanwhile, Indian shuttler PV Sindhu is seeded second and is one of the favorites to emerge victorious.
In the second round of the women’s singles, Ashmita Chaliha fought hard but fell to eighth ranked Scot Kirsty Gilmour 18-21 20-22.
PV Sindhu, India’s top shuttler, smashed Neslihan Yigit in straight games to go to the quarterfinals of the BWF Swiss Open 2022. In 42 minutes, the second-seeded double Olympic medalist overcame the Turkish player 21-19, 21-14.
