The 2022 Swiss Open will be the sixth competition on the BWF World Tour, and it will be part of the Swiss Open championships, which have been held annually since 1955. The Swiss Badminton Federation is organising the event, which is sanctioned by the Badminton World Federation.

Reigning champion Carolina Marin of Spain withdrew from the Women’s singles tournament of BWF Swiss Open 2022. Meanwhile, Indian shuttler PV Sindhu is seeded second and is one of the favorites to emerge victorious.
PV Sindhu has advanced to the second round of the BWF Swiss Open, which is being held at St. Jakobshalle. Sindhu, a two-time Olympic medalist, advanced to the second round of the women’s singles after defeating Line Hojmark Kjaersfeldt of Denmark 21-14, 21-12. The Hyderabadi shuttler will now face Turkey’s Neslihan Yigit in the second round after a straight games triumph.
