The director, who co-wrote the movie with his brother Mads, recently provided the following insight to Entertainment Weekly:
“Many people encouraged me to alter that because actors declined casting calls because they felt the final 20 pages were simply too long. In the end, I tried to redo it with more optimism, but it merely turned into a subpar American horror movie.
