Premier League 2021-22 Sack Race Betting Odds: First Manager To Be Sacked As The New Season Begin

Have a look at the betting odds and predictions of the sack race for who will be the first manager to be sacked from the Premier League this season

The new 2021-22 Premier League season began yesterday with Thomas Frank’s Brentford Humiliating Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal at the Brentford Community Stadium which has forced us to draw a list of Premier League managers who are most likely to be sacked after the first month.

The dismissal of managers is common in English football and maximum sacking of managers takes place in the first month of the season. It could be assumed that most of the managers will look for better opportunities elsewhere while the clubs look for a person to blame for the inconsistency of the team.

Everything depends on the form of the team while the business side of the football judges the performance of the team based on results. Meanwhile, other factors include a relationship with the players, no communication gap within the hierarchy of the organization, and most importantly attractive football.

1. Xisco Munoz & Mikel Arteta- 5/1

The former Spanish professional footballer Xisco Munoz is the joint-favourite alongside his compatriot Mikel Arteta in the running of losing their job as the manager of their respective clubs.

Xisco Munoz took over Watford in the December of 2020 and guided the team towards promotion with 2 games left to play.

Mikel Arteta on the other hand was trusted with the rebuild of the club after the dismissal of Unai Emery in 2019 but mediocre performances from Arsenal and lack of positivity around the squad has put him in the danger of losing his job.

2. Patrick Vieira & Steve Bruce- 7/1

The newly appointed manager of Crystal Palace will be on the radar of the fans who were unconvinced with the arrival of Patrick Vieira. Former Arsenal midfielder replaced the consistent Roy Hodgson ahead of the new season and is amongst the favourites to leave after the first month.

Alongside Patrick Vieira, Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce who is a very familiar face in the Premier League is the second favourite to wave goodbye to his job after reports from Newcastle suggest that the Englishman could be on a move away from the St. James’ Park.

3. Ralph Hasenhuttl- 15/2

Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl took over the club in the December of 2018 after the dismissal of Mark Hughes. He arrived when Southampton were struggling in the relegation zone barely able to keep their foot in the Premier League.

The team finished 15th that season barely able to hold on to their position ending the season on a poor note.

Southampton’s following two years were also not good for the league’s first Austrian manager as his side twice endured the humiliation of conceding 9 goals.

4. Rafael Benitez- 10/1

Merseyside club Everton appointed Rafael Benitez after the departure of Carlo Ancelloti to Real Madrid and will be under a lot of pressure to maintain the quality of football Everton usually display. He will complete the list of managers who will be in danger of losing their jobs after the first month.
