Paris Diamond League 2023 competition preview and athletes to watch
Going into the competition, several global athletes are set to battle it out in France’s capital. Norwegian long-distance runner Jakob Ingebrigtsen is one of the top stars worth watching as he looks set to secure a new world record in the men’s 2-mile event. The current record in that event has stood for 27 years now. Besides him, some of the other top athletes to watch out include Grant Holloway in the 110m hurdles, Noah Lyles and Marcell Jacobs in the 100m.
Meanwhile, in the women’s events, some notable athletes include Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone in the 400m, Keely Hodgkinson in the 800m, Dina Asher-Smith in the 200m and many more. The athletes will be looking to perform their best as they also prepare for the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest taking place in two months.
