The Circuit de Monaco has been in use in the Formula 1 since 1929 and is one of the oldest circuits which have been used. Subsequently with 14 different drivers winning the Monaco GP, this race never fails to amaze the F1 fanatics with its rapid turns and unexpected weather conditions.

After a thrilling Qualifying session on Saturday, fans witnessed another unbelievable spectacle with Lewis Hamilton dropping in P7, whereas Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc clinching the first position followed by Red Bull’s Max Verstappen and Mercedes’ Valtteri Bottas. What was ever more surprising was McLaren’s Daniel Ricciardo, who won the 2018 Monaco GP bagged the 12th position.

Monaco Weather F1: Which Driver Could Make the Most Out of the Forecasted Weather At The Monaco GP

Saturday and Sunday are expected to be cloudy with an increased chance of precipitation. While the conditions for the third practice session and qualifying are likely to remain dry,. Meanwhile there is a 20% chance of rain on Sunday. However, if it does indeed rain during the race, pole position may not be enough to win Sunday’s Monaco Grand Prix 2021.

The Monaco Grand Prix track has a length of 3.337 km with 19 total turns. The total number of laps in the race is 78 with a total distance of 260.286 km. The Monaco Grand Prix track record is 1:14.260, set by Red Bull’s Max Verstappen in 2018.

According to the Monaco GP weather forecast, cooler conditions are expected in the 2021 race than in what was witnessed in the previous years. The Monaco Grand Prix 2021 practice sessions are expected to be four to five degrees cooler than that of the previous race held in 2019. The first practice session in 2019 had air temperatures of 19°C whereas this in 2021 it could be as cool as 15°C.

Having said that, it would be interesting to see whether or not the pole position is sufficient to ensure Leclerc his much awaited Grand Prix win or is Max Verstappen looking certain to close the gap onto Lewis Hamilton?
