The 23rd edition of the MAMI Film Festival for 2023 commenced on October 27, 2023, and it will run for a week, concluding on November 5, 2023. This year’s festival is taking place at the newly inaugurated Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC).

The focus of the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival’s 2023 edition is on South Asian and South Asian Diaspora filmmakers and performers. The primary competition this year is the South Asia Competition, with the distinguished director Mira Nair serving as the new Head of the Jury.
