2023 Spain Masters singles day 3 schedule, date, venue, fixtures, & second-round draw
At the Madrid Masters 2023, India had a fantastic Wednesday with nine shuttlers winning their respective first-round matches in Men’s & Women’s Singles. In particular, PV Sindu, Kidambi Srikanth, Sameer Verma, & Sai Praneeth all won their opening round matches and qualified for the second round. Ayako Sakuramoto & Rena Miyaura of Japan defeated Treesa Jolly & Gayatri Gopichand in the Women’s Doubles first round match. Meanwhile, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy & Chirag Shetty, the Swiss Open champions, were forced to forfeit because of injury during their match against Ayato Endo & Yuta Takei of Japan.
Following results of Wednesday, it is confirmed that second-seed PV Sindhu will face-off against Indonesian shuttler Wardani to determine who qualifies for the quarterfinal. To watch this eagerly awaited event’s second-round matches in-person, fans can purchase their tickets from here.

2023 Spain Masters: BWF points award system
Each Madrid Spain Masters category winner will receive 7,000 BWF points, while the runner-up would receive roughly 5,950 points, according to BWF. Given that Mithun Manjunath only earned 1,670 BWF points from this competition, his loss in the first round may cause him to fall in the BWF World Rankings.
