The Reds must rest and address several issues before beginning another 38-game league season. A 4-4 tie with Southampton on the penultimate day of the 2022โ23 campaign made their advantages and weaknesses clear to everyone.
Liverpool players like Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk will have a break before heading to the Far East for preseason. Given that their late drive to clinch Champions League status was insufficient, Klopp and his team will be eager to compete harder next season.
Here are the challenges Liverpool will face as they attempt to move past a disappointing season.
Pre-season plans
After their final day matches against Southampton, Liverpool will enjoy a brief break before regrouping on Saturday, July 8 at the AXA Training Centre for preseason testing. Those who are serving in another country will return and join the preseason squad three days later.
Following that, Liverpool will take a flight to Germany for a training camp that includes a friendly game against Bundesliga 2 team Karlsruher SC to celebrate the opening of their brand-new Wildparkstadion, which seats 34,000. Liverpool will then travel to Singapore to simulate the preseason tour from the previous year by playing Leicester and Bayern Munich at the Singapore National Stadium two days apart.

For the games against Leicester and Bayern Munich, there will be a pre-sale offer for LFC Official Members, season ticket holders, Official Liverpool Supporters Clubs and International Academies, which opened from 10am (Singapore time) on Wednesday 17 May and relevant parties will be contacted directly by the club.
Tickets went on general sale to the public from 10am (Singapore time) on Monday 22 May.

Premier League start date
The 2023/24 Premier League is set to begin on August 12, 2023, on Saturday. On June 15 at 9:00 (BST), all of the schedule’s details will be released.
Europa League start date
Liverpool will join the 53rd Europa League as one of the heavy favourites thanks to their success in the Champions League.
With their fifth-place Premier League result, Liverpool earned Thursday night football and will advance directly to the group stage. On September 21 they will play their first game, and on December 14 they will play their final game.ย They will learn their opponents for the group stage when the draw is conducted on September 1.
Carabao Cup and FA Cup start dates
Two tournaments are wedged between domestic and European matches that Liverpool should be aiming to win. Despite the fact that the official dates have not yet been revealed, Liverpool will take part in the third round of the Carabao Cup because they have already qualified for European football.

The FA Cup does not follow the same regulations as the Premier League, hence all Premier League teams will enter the competition in the third round.
