2023/24 Championship fixtures release date

Earlier this month, the EFL confirmed that the fixtures release date for the 2023/24 Championship season is on Thursday, June 22. The fixtures for the new season will be revealed at around 9am in the UK. Aside from the fixtures, the all the dates for all of the matches along with the schedule for League One and Two will be released.

2023/24 Championship season start date

The start date for the 2023/24 Championship season has been set as Saturday, August 5. Immediately after the start of the new season, EFL teams will play the first round of the Carabao Cup on August 7. According to reports, the final game of next season’s Championship play-off final will be on Sunday, May 26 2024.

2023/24 Championship teams

Ahead of the new campaign, Plymouth Argyle, Ipswich Town, and Sheffield Wednesday will join the Championship from League One.

Plymouth Argyle finished on top of League One with 101 points, while Ipswich Town came in second to secured the final automatic spot. Meanwhile, Sheffield Wednesday beat Barnsley to determine the final promotion spot. On the other spectrum, Leeds, Leicester, and Southampton got relegated from the Premier League.
