In Madhya Pradesh’s ongoing Khelo India Youth Games, Odisha kept up their impressive performance. At the competition on Saturday, the State U-17 boys put up an excellent performance to win the 4100 relay gold medal. With 10 gold medals won throughout the day, including seven in boxing, Haryana stood out as the top team on Saturday.

After winning seven gold medals in boxing on day six of the Khelo India Youth Games, defending champions Haryana surged to the top of the medal standings. Haryana’s teenage prodigy Deepika put the cherry on top of by setting a new national youth record with a javelin throw of 55.19 meters during the Girls’ competition at the T.T. Nagar stadium. Ultimately, Haryana finished the day with ten gold medals that saw them rise to the top with total of twenty-two gold medals.
Other sports that came to an end on day six included Gatka at the District Sports complex in Mandla, Track Cycling at the Cycling velodrome in Delhi, & Basketball at the Basketball complex in Indore. In a thrilling championship game that went down to the wire in Indore, Rajasthan took home the gold in boys basketball after winning 90-85 against Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, Punjab defeated Chhattisgarh by a score of 73-56 to win the Girls’ gold medal.
According to the schedule, the hockey matches on the seventh day of the Khelo India Youth Games will start at 7:00 AM, and the Kabaddi bouts will wrap up the morning session at 10:00 AM.
