On Sunday, April 24, the Khelo India University Games went off with a bang at Bengaluru’s Sree Kanteerava Stadium, know the 2022 schedule, sports, colleges
Around 4,500 athletes from roughly 200 institutions will compete in 20 events for top awards at the Games.

The Games will be launched by India’s Honorable Vice President, with the Chief Minister of Karnataka and the Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, as well as other dignitaries, in attendance.
In archery, athletics, badminton, basketball, boxing, fencing, football, field hockey, judo, kabaddi, shooting, tennis, table tennis, volleyball, weightlifting, wrestling, and karate, a total of 257 gold medals will be awarded.

When and where will the Khelo India University Games be broadcast?
The Khelo India University Games and the opening ceremony will be carried live on DD News and DD Sports.
Lastly, The Games will also be broadcast live on the DD YouTube channel.

Srihari Nataraj, a Tokyo Olympian, and swimmer who will represent India in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, will take the oath on behalf of the athletes.
Tanisha Verma, an 18-year-old archer, and K Sai Pratheek, a 21-year-old badminton player, will run the last leg of the torch relay, taking over from their seniors. Vinka, the 2019 Asian Youth Boxing Championships 64kg class gold medallist, and tennis star Lokitaksha Badrinath will carry the torch. After that, the two will run the last lap to ignite the digital flame.
Khelo India University Games Stadiums:
The Games will be held in Bengaluru at five different locations: the Jain Global University campus (11 disciplines, including yoga asana), the Jain Sports School (badminton, tennis, football, and table tennis), the Kanteerava Stadium Complex (basketball and athletics), the Field Marshal Cariappa Hockey Stadium, and the Sports Authority of India (SAI) National Center of Excellence (shooting).
The Games will include a number of well-known international athletes. Including Dutee Chand (athletics), Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar (shooting), and Divyansh Singh Panwar (shooting).
On Saturday, April 23, volleyball, badminton, and basketball competitions began. In 2020, Panjab University won the first Khelo India University Games. They won 46 medals in all, including 17 golds, 19 silvers, and 10 bronzes. Second and third place went to Savitribai Phule Pune University and Punjab University, respectively.
