Bairstow was playing golf in Leeds on Friday when he unexpectedly hurt his lower limb. Next week, in order to determine the full degree of the ailment, he will visit a specialist according to ECB’s statement.

Ben Duckett replaces Bairstow for the third test against South Africa.

Ben Duckett has been added to England’s test team ahead of the September 8 commencement of the third test against South Africa. The ECB also stated that the replacement for Bairstow for the T20 World Cup would be announced later.
