1- Sreejesh Parattu Raveendran
Age- 35 years
He is an amazing Indian professional hockey player, who plays as a goalkeeper and an erstwhile captain of the Indian hockey team. P.R Sreejesh became a professional and capable hockey player after being picked up by a hockey coach Jayakumar in his school before he had played the Nehru cup.
After seeing his skillful playing and techniques government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian award Padma Shri in the year 2017. For sure he deserves to be the number 1 of India’s top hockey scorer.
2- Dhyan Chand
Age- 1905 – 1979
Dhyan Chand was a splendid and well-known professional hockey player in India. Dhyan was known for his highest goal-scoring abilities. He was the winner of three Olympic gold medals in the years 1928, 1932, and 1936, during a period when India oppress field hockey. T
he government awarded him India’s third highest civilian award Padma Bhushan in the year 1956. Dhyan Chand’s birthday on 29 august is celebrated as National Sports Day in India every year. He was a legend and we lost him in 1979.
3- Dhanraj Pillay
Age- 52 years
Dhanraj Pillay is a retired Indian professional hockey player. He is a joint secretary of the Air India Sports Promotion Board resides in Mumbai. For the last 5 years, the SAG hockey academy in Gujarat founded by the Gujarat government is handled by Dhanjraj pillay only. As for his best hitting shots, he is applauded as one of the best Indian players. He was honored by Padma Shri in the year 2000.
4- Balbir Singh Dosanjh
Age- 1923 – 2020
Balbir Singh was an excellent Indian hockey player as he was a three-time gold medalist at Olympics games. He played a key role in scoring goals for India. Balbir was chosen as the 16th iconic Olympian for his abilities, capabilities, achievements, determination, ardency, and skills. We lost this gem at the age of 96 in the year 2020.
5- Shahid Mohammed
Age- 1960 – 2016
Mohammed Shahid was a famous professional hockey player. He was commonly known for his dribbling skills and scoring goals. He was awarded Padma Shri and Arjuna Award. Behind time he became a sports officer with the Indian Railways, but we lost a star in the year 2016.
