Indian Athletes Thanked PM Narendra Modi For Encouraging Them In Mann Ki Baat

Recently during “Mann ki Baat” Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed all Indian athletes for Olympic. Also, PM  Narendra Modi paid tribute to Milkha Singh, Milkha Singh is a legendary Indian athlete who passed away recently. All athletes shared a vote of thanks to PM for his support and encouragement.

In the latest episode of Mann ki, Baat PM Narendra Modi talked about the upcoming Summer Olympic Games. Tokyo Olympics are going to begin within few days so that’s why PM addressed the nation and paid tribute to Milkha Singh. He motivated all Olympic participants to perform well and make the nation proud.

PM Paid Tribute To Milkha Singh

PM stated that how can we forget Milkha Singh Ji when we are talking about the Olympic Games. Milkha Singh has been the greatest Indian athlete of all time. He has never failed to make his country proud. PM lauded Milkha Singh’s contribution to the Indian Olympics.

Also, PM added to his statement that when the legendary athlete was hospitalized, he got a chance to talk to him. He requested the iconic athlete to motivate all Olympic participants but unfortunately, it couldn’t happen. Milkha Singh lost his life to COVID a few days back. His wife also passed away in the same month because of COVID.

PM Narendra Modi Motivates Olympic Athletes

Narendra Modi has always stepped forward in increasing the morale of sports persons of India. recently one such incident took place when he addressed all athletes and encouraged them to perform well at the Summer games. Athletes are quite happy with PM for including them in his Mann ki Baat.

He is also known as the Flying Sikh of India. He was a field and track sprinter and has also served the Indian army for a long time. He has bagged a number of medals in the Olympics as well as Commonwealth games for India.

Flying Sikh hails from the Govindpura district of Punjab and was born on November 20, 1929. He passed away on 18th June 2021 after fighting almost a month-long battle with COVID. Before his passing his wife Nirmal Saini also lost her life. This talented athlete has also been a recipient of the Padma Shri award in the past.
