To win a record fourth World Cup, the Australian bowling attack demonstrated their superiority by restraining the formidable Indian side. Mahli Beardman and Harjas Singh displayed remarkable abilities, helping their side to a well-earned victory.
Following the first innings, Australia reached 253/7. In the final of the U19 World Cup, this was the highest total ever. Ollie Peak, Harry Dixon, and Weibgen all made significant contributions with 40s, but Harjas Singh took the lead with 55.
Within the first 20 overs, India lost four batters, setting up a disastrous start to their chase.
From January 19 to February 11, 2024, South Africa hosted the 2024 ICC Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup, an international limited-overs cricket competition organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
The tournament was initially slated to take place in Sri Lanka, but after the ICC suspended Sri Lanka Cricket, the hosting was cancelled in November 2023.

ICC U-19 World Cup 2024 prize money
The ICC has not awarded prize money to the winners of the U-19 Men’s World Cups since the competition’s founding, and this will not change in 2024.
This is because the governing body’s only goal is to foster sport worldwide, starting at the local level, and provide young people with a platform for global expression.
To compensate its players for their performances in the U-19 World Cup, the governing bodies of cricket in each of the participating countries may offer financial awards like BCCI did in 2023 by awarding the players and staff INR 5 crore.
Meanwhile, at the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024, Kwena Maphaka, a speed phenom from South Africa, has been crowned Player of the Tournament. After defeating Hugh Weibgen, Uday Saharan, Jewel Andrew, Ubaid Shah, Saumy Pandey, Musheer Khan, and colleague Steve Stolk, Maphaka was given the award.
