On Wednesday, Saina Nehwal suffered straight-set loss against fourth-seeded Busanan Ongbamrungphan by score of 15-21, 8-21, to crash out from first-round of 2022 Hylo Open. Meanwhile, Aakarshi Kashyap emerged victorious by score of 21-11, 12-21, 21-7 after an intense encounter against French shuttler Huet, which saw her advance for Round of 16. Elsewhere, Malvika Bansod managed to secure comeback win against Spanish shuttler Azurmendi Moreno by score of 20-22, 21-12, 21-6, which granted her second-round matchup against seventh-seeded Kirsty Gilmour.
