Gethro Muscadin, a former forward for Kansas and New Mexico who was damaged in a rollover accident last December of 2021, died late on Monday as a result of his injuries as per his latest update in 2022
The 22-year-passing old’s are mourned by the Lobo and Jayhawk communities.
Gethro Muscadin Latest Update 2022 Reveals Kansas Jayhawks Basketball Player Died Aged 22 After Car Accident
Coach Bill Self of the Jayhawks revealed the information in a statement on Tuesday.
According to ESPN, Gethro departed them late last night. He was in a serious vehicle accident ten months ago, and ever then, he has essentially been non-responsive. Gethro was only a Jayhawk for a single year, yet he was beloved and well-liked by many. They send their best wishes to his family and loved ones during this extremely trying time.

More about Muscadin
Muscadin was born and raised in the Haitian port city of Gonaives, and he immigrated to the United States in order to play basketball. Muscadin played at Sunrise Christian Academy, Life Prep Academy, and Aspire Academy, all in Kansas and Kentucky, where he developed into a four-star prospect and received scholarship offers from numerous high-major institutions.
The 6-foot-10 centre joined the Jayhawks for the 2020–21 season, playing in 11 contests, including an NCAA tournament defeat to Southern California. Muscadin left the programme in December after transferring to New Mexico, where he started nine of the Lobos’ 12 games in the previous campaign.
Last year Muscadin met with a serious accident.
Muscadin was a passenger in a devastating single-car accident that occurred in Kansas last winter. He was travelling home in the early hours of the morning after attending the Jayhawks’ game against Nevada in Lawrence with his girlfriend. Muscadin was rendered unconscious after the car rolled many times.
Those who were aware of the occurrence started pleading for prayers to keep him alive. Some of the first people to openly discuss the accident included Kansas head coach Bill Self and New Mexico head coach Richard Pitino. The crash-related injuries caused the 6-foot-10 former Kansas and New Mexico forward to pass away late on Monday.
