E-bikes work on batteries, and their life is calculated in charge cycles. If an e-bike can hold up to 1000 charge cycles, it would mean that the battery can be charged 1000 times from 0 to 100% before its capacity starts to slowly decrease. There are three most common battery types used in e-bikes.

●       Lithium batteries:

They are the most frequently used batteries because they are lightweight and long-lasting. They can hold up to 1000 charge cycles and have a better storage capacity.

●       Nickel Batteries:

They can hold up to 500 cycles and are safer than lithium batteries. However, they take longer to charge and may perform poorly in extreme weather conditions.


●       Lead Batteries:

They hold up to 300 charge cycles. Lead batteries are extremely heavy and big in size, which can cause difficulty while riding.

Safety Measures:

Just like any other vehicle, e-bikes have their own safety precautions and rules. It is important to wear a helmet, gloves, and comfortable shoes. You should also wear bright or reflective clothing to make yourself visible to other road users.
