F1 New Rules 2021, Teams To Face Tougher Tire Check Ahead of French Grand Prix

Take a look at the most buzzing F1 new rules 2021 regarding all the teams being checked upon tire pressure to ensure none are manipulating the tyre pressure

After several high profile failure at Baku City Circuit, an investigation was posed to check whether the teams are responsible for any of their drivers crashing out in the previous F1 race in Baku.

Yet making sure that the tyres were not responsible in any way for the blowout of Max Verstappen or Lance Stroll, Italian manufacturer, Pirelli stated that the cause of those incidents was down to a circumferential break on the inner sidewall.

Ahead of the French Grand Prix, FIA and Pirelli have agreed upon new protocols including an upgraded technical directive already distributed, for monitoring operating conditions during a race weekend and they will consider any other appropriate actions.

F1 teams are believed to have previously overheated their tyres in the blanket. Which consequently increases the pressure to meet the mandated minimum. As a result from this weekend infrared checks will be casted out to check upon the teams not cooking their tyres.

Some of these checks will be carried out at random with the aim of stamping out the practice. Which included tyre sets used after practice sessions and qualifying. Whereas all sets used in the race will be thoroughly checked.

Those tyres to be tested will have seals added in order that they cannot be interfered with prior to the checks and no re-inflation of the tyre will be allowed.

Lastly the tyre pressures cannot be measured accurately during races, the teams have been told that it is their responsibility to ensure they remain within the limits set by Pirelli at all times. Failure of doing so will result to severe consequences.

After a disappointing outing for both Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton, the top two drivers will be raring to get the better of the other. However, with other drivers also being able to showcase their skills, it would not be a surprise for anyone, if we see another making into the headlines.

However keeping aside all the speculations, it would be interesting to see how the action at Circuit Paul Richard pans out after tremendous drama in street circuits previously.
