2023 F1 Fantasy how to play, registration method, rules, gameplay, new additions, & best tips
To get started, interested players must create an online account on the F1 website and then, they can then start playing by creating up to three teams. In each team, there must be five individual drivers and two constructors, and their combined in-game price shouldn’t cross $100 million. The goal of the game is to score as many points for your team as possible by having successful drivers and constructors. Points are given for successful qualifying, race victories, podium finishes, as well as activities like overtaking, fastest lap, & quick pit stops. If the driver fails to finish a race, the team could also lose points.
Additionally, players can decide on a “DRS Boost” each week and the driver chosen for a DRS Boost will receive double points for that specific grand prix, similar to how the captain functions in Fantasy Premier League. The addition of “chips” and “transfers” for 2023 enables the player to modify and strengthen their teams as the season progresses. For each squad managed by the player, they will receive two free transfers before each race. Thereafter, each move will cost four points. Further, players will be able to use six chips throughout the series that can bolster their squads whenever necessary.
Each chip will suit different situations throughout the season, whether it’s helping you to make wholesale changes to your line-up or giving one driver a huge x3 score multiplier there’s a chip that can help. There are six chips available but each one can only be used once during the season and you can only use one per race, so choose carefully and for more information about the different chips available please visit the FAQs page.
Constructors will score the combined total of its two drivers as well as scoring points,
Neither driver reaches Q2 | -1 point |
One driver reaches Q2 | 1 point |
Both drivers reach Q2 | 3 points |
One driver reaches Q3 | 5 points |
Both drivers reach Q3 | 10 points |
