2023 F1 British Grand Prix race track, expected weather, & other details

For Mercedes, the Austrian Grand Prix was a bit of a letdown after the excitement that had been generated by an upgrade in Barcelona and a solid performance in the unique track of Canada. Lewis Hamilton, the local favorite and eight-time winner of the British GP throughout his illustrious Formula One career, will be looking to earn an unexpected victory in front of the Silverstone crowd.

However, in order to do that, Hamilton would need to defeat his old rival Max Verstappen, who is still in incredible shape for Red Bull thanks to his streak of five straight triumphs in the sport including his most recent win in Austria last weekend.

According to AccuWeather.com, there is a little probability of rain during the F1 race at Silverstone, although it is expected to remain dry. Given how unpredictable British weather can be, it could start to rain at any time, which could alter how the race is portrayed. Teams will have an excellent opportunity to gather reliable data across the FP1 and FP2 sessions on Friday due to the likelihood of dry weather. Thunderstorms and light showers are both possible on Saturday. Fans will be able to see the cars in their best light on Sunday if it stays dry.
