This is among one of the many reasons why the World Road Safety Series season 2 is being called a scam along with the owners dubious dealings with the Kochi IPL team.

Sachin Tendulkar opts out of Road Safety World Series 2022-23

The greatest ever to play the game Sachin Tendulkar was the brand ambassador of the tournament from the beginning. The only reason why sachin opted to be the ambassador was the positive cause of the tournament. The tournament was organized by the Chief of the Regional Transport Office Ravi Gaikwad. The main aim of the tournament was to create awareness about road safety norms. The first season of the tournament was a great success and it was watched all over the globe.

Why did Sachin pull out of the tournament?

The legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar has taken the decision not to participate in the tournament. The reason why Sachin and several other players have taken the decision is still not clear. Several reports have claimed that the organizers of the Road Safety Series have still not transferred the full payment of the season to the players. Bangladeshi players have openly said that they haven’t received their payment yet and hence they might not be taking part in the next season.

Road Safety World Series season 1 review

In the inaugural season of RSWS India legends were crowned champions as they defeated Sri Lanka Legends in the finals. Sachin Tendulkar was leading the India Legends side in the tournament. Yusuf Pathan starred in the final game with a man-of-the-match performance of 62* off 36 deliveries. At the end of the tournament, TM Dilshan was named man of the tournament as he scored the most runs in the tournament and was also the highest wicket taker.
