Verstappen is reportedly boycotting the channel indefinitely, which is bad news for viewers. Other Red Bull team members have also joined the boycott, with Christian Horner refusing to speak with the network. Verstappen stated that there has been relentless rudeness and probing, especially from one specific person. It gets to a point where he can no longer take that. He must move on and not dwell on the past.

What did Sky Sports do?

Sky Sports did air a video of Verstappen discussing his victory at the Mexico Grand Prix, although this was taken from the global feed. As the questions were posed by a journalist not affiliated with Sky Sports F1, later interview footage seemed to have been acquired from somewhere else.

Despite Red Bull winning the race, Horner was also conspicuously absent from the post-race coverage. The team decided to boycott when Kravitz made comments that seemed to imply Lewis Hamilton was robbed of the F1 championship in Abu Dhabi last year.

Verstappen was mocked by Kravitz, who also backed Hamilton.

After the US Grand Prix last week, he said contentious things on his “Ted’s Notebook” broadcast. Hamilton doesn’t win a race all year, and then he returns to a place where he could win the first race of the year, competing against the same man who won the race he was robbed of the year before, and manages to finish ahead of him, added Kravitz.

That would have made for a fantastic tale and script. However, that wasn’t how the script played out today, was it? Because he has a quicker car, because of engineering, Formula One, design, and primarily because of Adrian Newey, Red Bull’s Chief Technical Officer over there.
