Everton FC is having an injury crisis as they could not play some players due to injuries. Everton has had a triple injury issue as they were going to face Aston Villa. Apart from that James Rodriguez was not included by Rafa Benitez in the squad.

Richarlison (Forward)

Richarlison was not included for the game with Aston Villa after a knee injury due to a rough tackle from Burnley’s  James Tarkowski’s which was held on September 14, 2021. The Brazilian was rattled into by the Burnley defender, during the second half of the game. Tarkowski’s challenge helped him get the ball but left Richarlison injured.

The referee ignored the challenge and did not book Tarkowski. Everton’s manager Rafa Benitez stated the tackle as ” very dangerous.”

Return Date

Manager Benitez has said that Richarlison will be out for almost three weeks. This makes his return directly in October.

Jordan Pickford (Goalkeeper)

Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford also picked up an injury during the Everton Vs Burney clash last Monday. Rafa Benitez has held Burnley’s striker Chris Wood responsible for Pickford’s injury. The 27-year-old had previously suffered an injury in a match against Burnley back in March 2021. With this, Everton had their two important players injured in the same game against Burnley last Monday.

Return Date

Jordan Pickford will also be rested for three weeks due to a shoulder injury. So, fans will be able to watch him play in October.

Seamus Coleman (Right-Back)

32-year-old Seamus Coleman’s injury will hurt the team and the fans, as Coleman got a hamstring injury during international duty. Injury during international duty is the worst fear for a footballer.

The Everton captain got an injury when he was with the Republic of Ireland squad for their most recent round of World Cup qualifiers this month. Coleman played the entire game for his country on September 4, 2021, as they ended in a 1-1 draw with Azerbaijan.

Through their Twitter account, the Republic of Ireland has affirmed that Coleman has experienced an undefined physical issue.

Return Date

Just like Pickford and Richarlison, Seamus Coleman will also be out for three weeks. Coleman will return in October.
