Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City, Man United, Tottenham Hotspur, AC Milan, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Juventus, and Real Madrid were all founder members of the Super League before.

The action assured huge financial benefits for them at a time when corona-virus restrictions had reduced takings. However, Fans, past footballers, and politicians had all voiced their displeasure with the European giants, with many stating that it would crush the hopes of teams at all levels of the local game. The permanent membership of clubs is said to be abolished from the current ideas, which include a top division of 20 teams and a second tier of 20 clubs. Every club will be qualified based on the results they achieve in their domestic competitions each year, and these spots will be divided evenly, with fewer games than the initial ideas.

The Super League is also planning to provide some extra perks for supporters, claiming that it would look at methods to give financial assistance to those who wish to attend away matches.
