However, before that, let us remind you, Alica Schmidtโs Olympics journey didnโt go as she had hoped. The track star end up facing disappointment in the womenโs 4ร400m relay, finishing 8th in the second heat of Fridayโs preliminary round.
Her Olympic campaign ended as only the top 4 teams from each heat advanced to Saturdayโs final. Schmidt and her teammates clocked a time of 3:26.95, while Jamaica led the heat with 3:24.92.
Whatโs the Viral Rumor About?
Now coming back to the topic at hand, a viral rumor has been buzzing like a storm on the internet and claims that Alica Schmidt had allegedly โhooked up with every Olympianโ at the Paris Games 2024.
The claim, which spread via an Instagram post, is entirely false. The post originated from a meme page known for humorous content.
The rumored garnered attention after competing in the 4×400 m mixed relay at the Olympics Games, German sprinter Jean Paul Bredau raised concerns over the decision to choose the 25-year-old Schmidt, over his girlfriend, Luna Bulmahn.
Bredau later apologized for his comments, but Bulmahn expressed her dissatisfaction on social media and was subsequently removed from the squad before the womenโs relay.
Let us remind you, Bredau and Bulmahn train with Schmidt in Berlin. It remains uncertain if this arrangement will continue after the Olympics, as Schmidt mentioned she hasnโt yet considered her future training plans, leaving it up to her coach.
Schmidt, who has over seven million followers on Instagram and TikTok, competed in the mixed 4ร400-meter relay last week, where Team Germany finished eighth and was eliminated.

Born on November 8, 1998, Alica Megan Schmidt, is a German runner who was part of the national team that won silver in the 4×400 meters relay at the European Athletics U-20 Championships 2017 and bronze at the European Athletics U23 Championships 2019.
She previously worked as a fitness coach for Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund. Schmidt was part of the German relay squad at the 2020 Summer Olympics but did not compete. Born in Worms, Germany, Schmidtโs family now resides in Ingolstadt, Bavaria. She attends Fresenius University of Applied Sciences.
