Daniel Ricciardo Explains Why “F*ck ‘Em All” Was Written On His Monaco GP F1 2022 Helmet

Daniel Ricciardo, a McLaren driver, has explained why he wore a helmet with the words “f*** ’em all” on it during the Monaco Grand Prix last weekend in F1 2022

This season, the Australian has battled with McLaren and has not been able to recapture his form from his Red Bull days. Lando Norris, his McLaren teammate, is doing better this season.

Ricciardo has had a difficult year, with McLaren swinging back and forth. In the Drivers’ Championship, the Australian is in 11th place, 37 points behind his partner.

Norris is in seventh place with 48 points and has taken on the role of squad captain.

Ricciardo’s best result this season was a sixth-place finish in his home Grand Prix. He has finished outside the points in every race this season save the one in Melbourne.

Daniel Ricciardo’s future is discussed by Zak Brown.

McLaren team principal Zak Brown spoke on Ricciardo’s future before the Monaco Grand Prix.

“Daniel is just not comfortable with the car yet,” Brown added. We’re putting out every effort.

Indy Car talents Colton Herta and Pato O’Ward have added to Ricciardo’s already mounting pressure. Both have recently inked new deals with McLaren and have expressed an interest in racing in the future.

Last weekend’s Indy 500 was won by ex-F1 driver Marcus Ericsson, with O’Ward finishing second. Herta, on the other hand, had previously won the race on the Indianapolis road track.

Daniel Ricciardo has a divisive helmet.

Following the racing weekend at the legendary circuit, the Australian has now explained why he chose the helmet he did. He made it clear that it was not intended for anyone in particular and was merely a motivational message for himself.

He said, “I put it on my helmet in 2018 as well” (quotes via Autosport). “I like to utilise acronyms to motivate myself. It’s not meant at anyone in particular; it’s something I’ve been saying for a few years, and it just puts me in a good mood.

“I believe that as a driver, you put on your helmet, which is also very important when it comes to turning the switch.” When I put the helmet on, it’ll be one of the last things I see. “So it serves as a reminder for me to tune in and go into the zone.”

As F1 resumes its European portion of the season, the Australian will definitely hope for a boost in the following races.
